And this is the time when our vineyards require considerable labour and attention: <strong>trellising, suckering, leaf thinning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All this work helps to save the grapes from many diseases (prophylaxis) with a nice and healthy development of plants (phenology).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Since the early June blooming, the plants have evolved significantly: \u00a0the bunch closure was complete in late July, that is when the grapes are large enough to touch each other. The bunches are beautifully formed, the berries have reached 70% of their volume. Our merlot and malbec grapes change colour and become red, ripening is beginning.<\/p>\n<p>In all of our vineyards the grapes are very healthy despite the heatwave that is starting to affect us. This meticulous work consists of cutting down the number of leaves close to the fruit.
