class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>While we take great care of 2019 in our cellars, 2020 is already emerging&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Now that winter has begun and once having produced its fruits, the nature takes a beneficial break, at least on the surface.\u00a0 A brief respite in the year:\u00a0 despite the apparent calm the winegrower does not really stop!\u00a0 Work on the vineyards resumed immediately after the Christmas holidays:\u00a0 pruning, tillage, trellising&#8230;\u00a0 In short, the utmost is done to produce high-quality grapes.\u00a0 And we very much hope that Mother Nature would have the wisdom to preserve us from the elements!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"w-image align_left\"><div class=\"w-image-h\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><pre><strong>Vine pruning for better harvest<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p><strong>Because vine is a sarmentous liana&#8230;<\/strong><br \/>\nOne vine can produce invasive foliage and it is essential to control excess growth and limit the number of grapes to get beautiful concentration.\u00a0 And this step is critical, when we have to strike a balance to promote vigour of the plant and yield as well.\u00a0 To that end we must select the more recent shoots and keep only a few buds which will give new shoots in the springtime.\u00a0 This is for maintaining the vigour of the vine.\u00a0 But we also keep some buds on older wood to preserve vine yield!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"w-image align_left\"><div class=\"w-image-h\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/laclaymore.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/la-claymore-taille-vignes-hiver.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><pre><strong>And wood pruning...<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p>&#8230; which is the next important step after vine pruning to &#8220;clean up&#8221; the trellising and create more space for the next new shoots.\u00a0 Pruning wood means removing shoots from among the vines.\u00a0 In other words shoots that have been cut must been removed, and this work is particularly hard as we have to effectively pull on the woods entangled in the trellising wires, and lay them on the row.\u00a0 Then vine shoots are shred and left in place to enrich the soil &#8211; an eco-friendly practice!\u00a0 But this does not exclude the possibility of using them for a family barbecue why not!!\u00a0 And of course with a glass of Ch\u00e2teau la Claymore or Ch\u00e2teau Flaunys!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-4 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div
