{"id":2212,"date":"2020-03-27T11:24:32","date_gmt":"2020-03-27T10:24:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laclaymore.fr\/?p=2212"},"modified":"2020-04-03T11:26:07","modified_gmt":"2020-04-03T09:26:07","slug":"protecting-the-vines-from-frost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laclaymore.fr\/en\/protecting-the-vines-from-frost\/","title":{"rendered":"Protecting the vines from frost"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>The Bordeaux wine region experiences large variations in temperature and global warming is now evident&#8230;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>2017-2018-2019 :\u00a0 we have endured three successive years of mildew attack, frost and drought.<\/p>\n<p>Again this year the winter was mild with an early bud-break for the vines as a result, at least three weeks ahead of an average year.\u00a0 Morning frost we greatly fear expecially now and until May 10th can irreversibly damage vines and cause a short fall of a part of the crop.<\/p>\n<p>It was necessary to find a solution and we had to do it quickly:\u00a0 so we decided to install 2 wind turbines.\u00a0 That way we will be able to control drops in temperature up to -2\u00b0C.\u00a0 Though the investment is significant, it will help us save part of our crops&#8230;
